FolioMatch is a startup company in Kansas City, MO headed by Evan Kirsch, a fellow UMKC graduate. As an intern at FolioMatch, I manage the site’s social media accounts: Twitter and Facebook. I strategize content to promote on the social media platforms, and this includes creating some of the content myself. I blog for blog.foliomatch.com, portraying to users local events we will participate in and student entrepreneurship news. In addition, I enjoy writing about advice on how to thrive in the business world, landing jobs as a graduate, and how volunteering can help someone’s career.

Host, 2013 Missouri Entrepreneurship Challenge

FolioMatch was lucky enough to be invited to host the 2013 Missouri Entrepreneurship Finals. This meant creating a prompt video, explaining to students what kind of business they would be instructed to construct. FolioMatch was also in charge of creating the Missouri Entrepreneurship Challenge's website, where students could gather information on the competition, post testimonials, and watch an instructional video prompt. At the finals students delivered winning ideas, following the instruction to build a company with a foundation in robotics.

Venture Creation Challenge 2013

In 2013, 68 cross-disciplinary student teams participate (of 129 teams who entered). More than 120 judges (business and community leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and mentors) participated in three stages of the competition: business plan evaluation; venture expo judging and investment; and finalist presentations.
